Sticking feathers up your butt doesn't make you a chicken

My sister says, "Most people don't like to send their kids to a girls' school or a boys' school 'cos they don't want them to turn out gay, but with an influence like you, one could not become lesbian."

I go, "Why? I'm not that bad."

She replies, "You are that bad. You can find a new model to like every week."

It is, sadly, quite true. It's not really a "OMG A NEW WEEK A NEW MODEL" kind of thing, but I do find new models/people to like pretty fast. Three guesses to what I've been doing this CNY break. *wry grin*

This is Ben from Make Me A Supermodel.
Photobucket
He's a prison guard. Mhm in my opinion he would make being in prison a lot better. ;)

I think I prefer him as a skinhead. He looks so... I dunno, pretty boy here? Or really young. :/ [[On a sidenote, maybe my sister and Nadeo are right, I do go for the manly macho type.]]

Photobucket
I think he pierced his ear on the wrong side. And I can identify him just by his lips, whee. *random*

Photobucket
This shot was supposed to be full of sexual chemistry, but meh. Doesn't do it for me. :/

Photobucket
Now this is chemistry. The other guy's called Ronnie and he's gay and has a crush on Ben, aww. :)

Yes, I do have a thing for men in glasses. Got problem arh?

Ben/Ronnie FTW! That is, if Ben were not straight and married. :/

In episode 2, all the models were sitting around eating and they were asking some questions, like "Who do you think is the best looking in this house?" Ronnie said Ben [[and Ben said Ronnie, aww]]. It was super cute and everyone was laughing and making fun of them. In the separate interview thingie [[I have no idea what it's called, someone enlighten me, kthnz]], Ben says, "I guess it's a good thing that a gay guy thinks you're cute... it's a compliment, right?" Hahaha best quote ever. Not really in the sense that he said something realli witty~, but the way he said it was hilarious.

Oh yeah, and Ben's walk is not that bad. I don't know why the judges keep saying his walk is bad. I've seen guys walk just as badly as him in Valentino. Maybe it's just my untrained eye... although it is probably my biased one. :3 But I will say that I think Lars walks like he's a duck, or has something stuck up his ass. Doesn't make him any less good looking though.

Speaking of models, here's your daily dose of pro models, or in this case, model.

Andrew looks like he has a cold here. *pats*

Photobucket
Not so sure about the jacket with the pants, but Andrew has a really nice torso for suits, in my opinion. :D

Love the jeans.

Photobucket
And the sweater too. *snorts*

Photobucket
He looks kinda short here. :/

YAY SUITS. :D

Debbie tells me that she skips past all the pictures and football ramblings so here are some real life thingies. [[Yes, just for you Debbie! Although Christal might enjoy it as well. :)]]

CNY's been okay so far. I mean, it's not that everyone was horrible and stuff, but it's a bit of a drag to wear dresses and skirts when it's the time of your month, you know? And I've been a bit down during my period as well, so that probably contributed to the meh-ness at CNY. ): Stupid hormones.

Anyways, I watched Fight Club today! It was awesome. :D It was kind of hard for me to picture the book translated into a film [[you'll understand when you read the book]], but I thought it was done reallly well. The casting was great as well -- Edward Norton and Brad Pitt both did super jobs as the narrator and as Tyler respectively.

I'm going to watch 27 Dresses tomorrow, whee. Hope it'll be good and not a total waste of money.

And because we all need a good dose of funny each day.
Photobucket
In Arsene we trust [[just not to make decisions about hair, although he seems to have learnt from his mistakes in the past]].

He's 20/80 about the EPL travelling around the world thing, and I think I am also. It's a stupid idea based on the fact that it's nothing more than a stupid scheme dreamed up by fat businessmen who don't care that a random draw for the 39th game of the season is just totally unfair. What if it's the deciding game in our title bid and we get Liverpool [[who will most probably be out of contention for the trophy but nevertheless, still a worthy opponent]] and ManUtd get Derby?

If they wanna do it they have to let one of the traditional 38 games be the match played around the world, not some stupid 39th match [[and like my sister said, good things come in pairs]]. And it has to be the very last game of the season that the club will play. It would be terribly stupid if the players got jet lagged and shit and fail to play their best in the CL final.

But it's not in my hands to decide, and I'm just a pawn in their big "let's squeeze money from everyone we can!" scheme, so my opinion doesn't really matter very much. Ah well.

I went for dinner at some place near my house today to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. The food was pretty good, but there wasn't much banter. We obviously need Aunt numero uno and family to liven up the atmosphere.

I remember the last time we went for lunch my cousin Nicholas asked my grandma for tips on how to get the bruise on the finger better [[it was all black and disgusting and he couldn't bend it D:]], and my grandma gave him directions on how to use an egg and she said take out the egg yolk and then he was like, "Uh, how do you take the egg yolk out of the egg and let it still keep it's shape?" o.o It doesn't sound very funny typed out but it was, I swear! It went on for a few minutes and everyone chimed in with their genius ideas of how to take the egg yolk out. I really do love my family. :D

And talking about awesome family members, I was on mikeshinoda.com looking at the pictures and there was this picture of Chester's legs [[obvious because you could see the Hybrid Theory Soldier tattoo]], and this is what me and my sister said:

Belinda: Oh yeah sure, I take pictures of my friends' legs too.
Bernice: Maybe it's his leg then he ask people to take leh?

Hahahahahaha my sister is an adorable retard sometimes. ♥

And my other sister was playing with the remote control and somehow she got it stuck ON HER LIP! Hahahahahahahahahahahahah *dies laughing* My family is too awesome sometimes. :D We literally almost died laughing. :D

And speaking of awesome family members, we had this survey in school about our family and school lives, and they asked us stuff like "how much do you parents earn a month?" Okay, first off, why in the world would I know how much my parents earn? Second, if I knew, why the hell would I tell you anyways? Maybe it's the way I was brought up thinking that how much you earn is a private matter, but I find that question too invasive.

I'll put up with the "what time does you father go/come home from work?" and the "do you like your family?" [[No, I don't like them. I LOVE them. They're some of the most awesome people I know. I mean, how many fathers do you know that will say "Wah lao this guy so gay I can't stand him" about Zac Efron? At this point I should probably make it clear that it's not funny to me because my dad called Zac Efron gay, but because he dislikes Zac Efron too. Good taste obviously runs in families.]] questions, but the pay thing really pissed me off. They also asked for our allowance. Uh. Same thing. WHY should I tell you? There is absolutely no need for you to know that.

They also have like "Do you think the allowance you get is enough for your personal expenses?" questions. Well duh, no. $25 a week won't get me Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, even if I don't eat. But if you think about it, it's actually a good idea. If I don't eat to save up for that $3000 dress, I'll look BETTER in the dress. Hmm...

But anyways. School is still sucky, and I MISS CHRISTAL AND ALL THE OTHER IP PEOPLE SO MUCH. D: Gahhh I saw Christal at the CCA fair today, but we didn't have enough time to catch up. We so need to meet up fer realz~*~ one day, kk bb? :) The people around me right now are SUPER boring. Like majorly major boring. Sometimes I hate being in the smarty classes. No one's ever spontaneously fun or like "I like cheese" out of the blue or dirty minded and they don't gossip about guys. *sigh*

Why aren't there people who are gooners and like fashion/male models around me in real life? ): Except for my sister, of course. But that's thanks to my geniusity. Is that even a word? Ah well.

I can't wait for the Burnley v Arsenal match. Burnley is a lower league opponent, but sometimes those are the nicest to watch. They always give their all and it's so much more heart warming and interesting to watch, than say, a Liverpool match. We're sending out a practically second string team, but we should still be able to cope with what they can throw at us [[think back to Blackburn!]], and I don't see why we can't win it.

It is so weird to see Beckham in an Arsenal training kit. Sirusly~. x.x And Cesc being such a fanboy! Haha. I saw one picture being captitioned "Fabregas jumps for joy at Arsenal's newest arrival". Tsk even they pick up on it. ;)

Anyways, here are some random quotes and pictures.

We do what we must, and call it by the best names.

"'Well,' said Pooh, 'what I like best--,' and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called."

The hard part when writing a narrative of someone's life is choosing from the abundance of details and microevents, all of them equally significant, or equally insignificant. If one elects to only select the important events: the births, the deaths, the loves, the humiliations, the uprisings, the ends and the beginnings, one denies the real substance of life: the ephemera, the nethermoments, much too small to be recorded (the train pulling into the station where there is nobody; a spider sliding down an invisible rope and landing on the floor just in time to be stepped on; a pigeon looking straight into your eyes; a tender hiccup of the person in front of you in line for bread; an unintelligible word muttered by a one-night stand, sleeping naked and nameless next to you). But you cannot simply list all the moments when the world tickles your senses only to seep away between your fingers and eyelashes, leaving you alone to tell the story of your life to an audience interested only in the fireworks of universal experiences, the roller coaster rides of sympathy and judgment.

There is a luxury in self-reproach. When we blame ourselves we feel that no one else has a right to blame us. It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.

I was happy but happy is an adult word. You don't have to ask a child about happy, you see it. They are or they are not. Adults talk about being happy because largely they are not. Talking about it is the same as trying to catch the wind. Much easier to let it blow all over you. This is where I disagree with the philosophers. They talk about passionate things but there is no passion in them. Never talk happiness with a philosopher.

"Love," Estelle said, "real love, is when you realize that you're in a race to see which of you is going to die first. And the worst thing in the world is when you lose."

I could write a book about this young man who was the gentlest and the holiest man I ever met, who had never offended anybody and never taken anything from anybody, but who had made the cardinal mistake of coming to America to spread peace and love.

Basil, my dear boy, puts everything that is charming in him into his work. The consequence is that he has nothing left for life but his prejudices, his principles, and his common sense. The only artists I have ever known who are personally delightful are bad artists. Good artists exist simply in what they make, and consequently are perfectly uninteresting in what they are. A great poet, a really great poet, is the most unpoetical of all creatures. But inferior poets are absolutely fascinating. The worse the rhymes are, the most picturesque they look. The mere fact of having published a book of second-rate sonnets makes a man quite irresistible. He lives the poetry that he cannot write. The others write the poetry that they dare not realize.

I'm beginning to realise that the numbers on the hit counter actually mean something and that 99% of the people who visit my blog actually know me in real life, and will go "WAH she always posts pictures of male models leh" when the topic of my blog is brought up in real life.

GERMANY'S THROUGH TO EURO 2008! Yay! :D Sad I couldn't watch the match though, apparently Lehmann did well? Starhub REALLY rocks. \m/ They drew with Ireland 0-0. Ah well.

Thierry Henry knows Barca will face Arsenal
Aw, Thierry. ♥ Because Arseblog put it the best: "now that the initial shock of losing a top player has worn off, you remember why it is we loved him so much. He’s an intelligent guy, he loved playing for us, he gave us so many wonderful moments and that’s what should be remembered above and beyond anything else." If we do end up facing Barcelona, I hope it'll be in the final [[since I don't see how my heart would be able to take us facing Thierry twice]]. And we better win that match.

Robin: You can never underestimate an opponent in the Premier league.

Interviewer: It was a great free kick that got the goal started. Tell me a little bit about it.
Robin: Uh, well yeah, it was quite funny because normally Cesc should take it, because the last one from the left side, um, um, I think, let me think, last Wednesday, I took that one, so I told him then, "The next one is yours", but the feeling was there, and I asked him, "Can I do it?" and he said, 'Okay it's yours" and it went in quite well.

Robin says "Cesh" and "prae-tay". Wheeee. And my god, quite well. But I suppose everything compared to his goal against Charlton is pale in comparison.

Interviewer: And you kept the team fairly similar, just one change, from the one that played in the Champions League. Are you not a fan of the rotation that other managers feel that they need to use?
Arsene: Well um, I like, uh, you know a team is on a run and so I keep it stable and I change the players when I feel they are tired and there's no really a recipe [[it sounds like receipt to me but that doesn't make any sense, so I can only assume that it's recipe]] to win football games but everybody works with his own personality and everything can work, but at the moment, I just feel at the moment keep it stable.

Arsene: Well it is important because it is better than chasing someone that is ten points in front of you. [[about the importance of being at the top of the table]]

Haha I know good transcribers don't add in the uhs but I thought it would be more authentic to do it with the uhs. :) I don't I've ever heard a lady do the post-match interviews. Maybe I just don't watch enough of them. Her voice is weird and raspy, by the way. Raspy voices can be nice... just not on girls.

I got my jeans on Sunday! Yes, the ones that I was looking at with my sister at Levi's last Monday. They fit so well, almost like a second skin! Usually when I get jeans they're either too loose around the hip areas or the thigh areas. But this pair's just right! Maybe a bit tight, but I expect them to loosen up a bit. I'm happy. :)

I also got a few plain shirts from Cotton On, which are thin enough for layering. Yay. :D My sister also bought me Tool's Undertow as a birthday present, and Sarah got me John Legend's Once Again! I think I'm going to love my birthday presents this year. :) So what if I'm not going to have the element of surprise with them? I'd take presents that I'm going to love for the next month over presents I'm not going to even touch once.

Oh yeah, Uncle Desmond, Auntie Cheryl, Darryl, Denzel and Duane are coming over on Saturday to celebrate both mine and Duane's birthdays! This is sounding like a good birthday week -- presents, cakes and no studying! The only element missing from it's perfection is the results. Gah. I'm already anxious thinking about getting them back. ):

Never mind, I shall distract myself from thinking about the results by reading the two new books I bought from Page One today. Now I have like 3 new books to read. Awesome. :D I've missed reading books. It's not that I can't read during the exams, per se, it's just that I'm usually so drained at the end of the day with all the studying that the last damn thing I feel like doing is picking up yet another book to read.

I love going to Zara. I've been to two different Zara in two days now! Whee.

I see that my posts are taking on a format now: Arsenal, RL, Lars pictures. How fun.
