Teachers

Apparently some Chinese teacher in the school had a chat with my li'l sis about her "high profile". She told my sis to "tone it down" and not to bring so many branded/expensive goods to school.

WHUT DUDE.

Beatrice doesn't bring expensive stuff to school! The most expensive thing she brings is probably her Crumpler bag, and literally everyone in the school has one of them. Weirdo! Oh yeah, and she also apparently told her to only bring 5 blue pens and a maximum of 3 pencils. Beatrice says, "How to survive like that right?"

What is wrong with her?!? What does how many pens my sister brings to school affect her in any way? Weirdo freak! Now I'm going to go out and buy 5 Mont Blanc pens for my sis so she can bring it to school and flash it in her face.

Anyways, expensive is SO subjective. I mean, I think $50 for a CD that I've been lusting over for ages is way reasonable, but some other people think that $18 for a CD is too much. I know people look through the songs in my phone and go, "How you get so many songs one arh?" It seems as though the art of buying CDs is lost amongst the youth these days. :/ Some people pay $8,000 and above for a Birkin, but some people think that you can get buy perfectly with Jansport. [[Just because I have to say it, I have a Jansport and it's my most favourite school bag so far. ♥ ]]

I guess that teacher would die of a heart attack if she saw Bernice with her Prada specs and YSL wallet and Elle. I personally prefer Eau des Merveilles, because I find Elle too overpowering and the base notes bother me a lot. Eau des Merveilles is just beautiful and so pretty and ergh ♥♥. I think I better go and get another bottle, especially since it's limited edition. :/

6-2 to Arsenal against Derby! :D

I know I haven't been posting about Arsenal recently, but life has been catching up with me like crazy. :/ I don't even really have time anymore to watch TV. ARGH. ): I've been trying to record the matches and watch them when I have the time to do so though.

I'm as dissapointed as anyone that we're not going to win the title this season, but it has been so much more than what we've all expected so I guess that's one place where we can draw comfort from. GUNNERS FOR THE LEAGUE TITLE NEXT SEASON!

I sincerely hope that Flams and Hleb don't leave. Tomorrow is the last day of April. Oh god please, sign the contract.

I BEAT BERNICE BY HALF A MINUTE FOR 2.4KM, WHOO! SO AUSUM~

3 Grace did superb for the run -- I was the second last and I was like 2 seconds too slow for a gold. ): But I'm happy anyways, for myself and for the class. :D The whole time I was running I was like "I MUST BEAT BERNICE I DON'T CARE HOW", so I guess competitiveness works if I want to do well in things. :D

Oh, and talking about Bernice and me, here are pictures from the Flyer thingie!

Being gawgeus inside the Flyer~~ Story about the pimple: So I've been using this YSL facial wash, right? And I don't dare bring it to camp in case it touches the floor or gets trampled on or something [[yes, I know, I know, not v. likely, but I'm scarred for life]], so I decide to squish a tiny bit of it into a small bottle and bring it to St John's Island. When I get there I realise that it's too little for me to squish out, so I only manage to wash my face on the first night. I forgo washing my face for the next two days. And the result? The monstrous thing you see on my chin and 3 other ones near my nose that can't be seen in this picture. ): But they're much better now that I've gone back to my usual routine, thank goodness. YSL FTW!

Jump shot! I realise that my fringe is flopping about unglamourously, but I don't dare cut it myself and I've been too lazy to drag my ass to the hairdresser's. I think I might want to cut my hair short... but I'm chicken about it and I'll probably never do it unless half of it is burnt off in a fire or something. ):

I want my Chem test back! I'm not confident that I did well, but evs, I still want it back. D: I hate having to wait ages for a test to be returned. ): I just realised that Labour Day's on Thursday and I'll miss History for the second week in a row. I want to learn about Nazi Germany and get my History paper back, damn it! Gah!

Oh, and there was this whole "OMG I MISS CAMP" atmosphere amongst the Sec 3s yesterday but it's been so much better today. Cheryl was like "Oh I wanna go back so bad! I miss camp a lot! Let's have a class outing there!" but she's been mostly quiet about it today. I knew it would pass. I mean, if I can get over Bintan and Cherating, St. John's Island should be a piece of cake. I missed camp, but it was mostly small things that got me thinking about it, and pangs passed pretty quickly. And it's hard to remain sad about it when you actually have toilets with sinks and orange ck heels to cheer you up. :)

Besides, it's not so much the camp site and the activities we had there [[because frankly, I do like my sinks and my bed and my TV and my computer way too much to give them up]], it's more of the sense of belonging to your class. And Cherating actually had proper facilities -- toilets with sinks, bathrooms with doors [[although there was this flap that could be opened and someone could peek inside, hahahaha, but it's family, so w/e~]], a rock wall, a bungee bounce, really hot guys...

My dad was talking about the Canon 400D/450D today. Oh god I hope I get it! I hate having to take pictures with a point and shoot! And the 450D is the first one that has the image on the LCD screen! Awesomeo! And I want this Marc by Marc Jacobs watch:

I thought it would be like $270 [[like the other MBMJ watches]], but it's 300 pounds 'cos it's snakeskin. I was playing with the zoom on the website and it says "Geniune Reptile" on the inside of the strap. AHHHHHHHHHH I feel terrible but it's so gorgeous asdfl;kajsdl;fj WHY do I always pick the most expensive things to fall in love with? ): Can't I for once go for the "reasonably priced" items? I'm convinced if you put out 5 bottles of perfumes that are priced from $14/100ml to $350/100ml I'll gravitate towards the $350 bottle. D: It's not even a concious decision, damn it!

And I realise that I don't like shu nu watches. I don't understand why watches for girls are always rectangular or some weird heart shape. I prefer bulky men watches. :X Gah I hope my future husband is a watch fanatic so I can stea-- I mean, borrow, his watches. *cough*

One random Lars pictures, because it's Lars.

Okay, first of all, WHAT THE HELL, PHOTOGRAPHER?!?!?!?!?! MAKE THE GIRL LOOK MORE APPRECIATIVE DAMN IT! I would kill a lamb to be in her position! [[The lamb thing came from watching Jamie Oliver in this episode where he went to stay with this Italian family and they made him kill a lamb -- I think only Bernice will fully understand this though.]] Ergh. One of the world's most beautiful men is giving her a kiss and the photographer makes her look like she wants to run away? Whut dood! If If I were in her position in this shoot I would fail really miserably at this shot. I'd probably look more like ♥.♥

Oh yeah, and Beatrice wrote "Lars is 大姐's husband" and added "♥*lips*♥*lips*♥*lips*" [[fill in the *lips* with a bad drawing of a pair of lips]] at the back of it. Aww thanks li'l sis, that's the smartest thing you've said this year! When Bernice saw it she went, "Why are there hamburgers between the hearts?" Hahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahah! Me, being ever so witty, went, "Because Lars is from Hamburg!" Hahahahahahha. WE ROXZ~

ETA: I am now of the opinion that German men, Canadian men and Greek men are the hottest in the world. Germany has Lars B., Metze, Kehli and Lars R., Canada has Andrew S. [[must put S. if not later suay suay people mistake for some other Andrew *coughs violently*]], Casey T. and Luke McFarlane, and the Greeks have Panayiotis and their statues of naked men. Okay that was random, but I felt I had to put that down.

CAMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

CAMP WAS FUN! I'm so glad we were grouped in classes because 3 GRACE ROCKS. :D My group was super, and our campfire item was really hot!

Although the toilets had no sinks and there were no curtains or door in our bathrooms and the partitions in them were short enough for us to peek over at each other, I actually enjoyed camp. The first day was quite okay, we did the amusing race and got lectured for screaming at flies dropping like flies do. It was quite hard to get used to eating while sitting on the ground though.

The second day's activities were fun, but many people got injured -- I got hit in the face by a basketball, Serene fell 2.5 times and her knees are so torn up it's scary, Gladys nearly sprained her ankle, and tons of other people got abrasions here and there. It was quite worth it though, multi-level captain's ball was probably the first game of captain's ball that I was actually interested in, and the casualty challenge was a test of our creativity and teamwork. I can't say anything about water rafting because I didn't do it. D:

The campfire was superb! All the items were really enjoyable to watch, although one class's was a bit weird cos they were cheering for their class 50% of the time. I thought our's was by far the most awesome though, but I'm biased, so w/e~. Chief Veron did a recount of the camp and it moved one of the instructors to tears... which led to me and Abi betting on whether or not he would cry on the last day of camp. I said no, and the forfeit for losing was to do 5 Buddha claps in the middle of the basketball court/forum. I, obviously, lost. But it was super funny and Abi wanted to "Look at his eyeballs!"

Our group instructor Yao Xing was really really nice. He took us to the beach for area cleaning which is like, totally awesome, because knowing my luck, I was expecting toilet duty, which is usually very gross but would frankly be downright disgusting at St John's. I mean, there are dead flies and unflushed toilets and sand and ERGH. :/ But he picked the beach for us and he told us we had to clean 2 but we ended up sitting around at the second one on the granite wall thingie and enjoying the sea breeze. What a way to spend a Saturday morning. <3 And I didn't even mind the first one because the view was mindblowing [[we could see the Singapore Flyer from there and Singapore was SO BEAUTIFUL <3]] and I was in a good mood anyway 'cos I was so happy we weren't doing toilet duty plus me and Abi were protecting each other from rolling off the slope leading down to the beach, haha!

Yao Xing also shared with us about his life experiences and it really got me thinking. I didn't cry although Sufang and Alicia were moved to tears, and Ellie teared up watching them cry, but it was certainly something to reflect about.

I don't know if I'd go back there with my good friends the flies, but I wouldn't give my experiences up.

After coming back to Singapore I went out to Funan to get Beatrice's stupid camera [[which sucks, by the way, the shutter response is so slow I want to dig my eyes out]] then we went on the Singapore Flyer!!! Which I wanted to go in the first place after seeing it from St John's, haha. :D It was super fun and the ride is SO stable you don't even feel as if you're moving at all. And Singapore is so beautiful. <3 Oh oh, there was also this football pitch ON THE SEA! Amazing stuff!

We went to dinner at a German restaurant after coming off the Flyer, and it was pretty awesome. :D German food rocks! And so does Lars! That's relavant cos I'm talking about German food and Lars is from Germany. My logic is so logical~

Then we went to Marina Square and I saw this really gorgeous jacket but it looked weird on me and I didn't ge it. D: D: D: D: But whatever. Saturday was still really fun!!

Some pictures of Casey Taylor, cos I think he's really gorgeous. :D Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

AHHH CAMP TOMORROW.

I haven't packed a thing, and I'm looking at Hermes's website [[which is, by the way, SO FREAKING AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I don't usually get too excited about things, so go and see! It's so amazing I don't even have words for it]]. Procastinators unite... tomorrow. :D

I actually think that the camp will be fun, but I'll be missing all the water activities. The details are TMI so I'm not going to go into them, I'll just say that I wish I could do without some womanly matters. D:

I'll be gone till Saturday... if anyone actually cares.

School is getting really really really busy. I barely even have one hour to do stuff I want to do a day. D: My routine just reads: Wake up, go to school, come back from school, do homework, take a half hour breather, go to bed. Repeat for 5 days a week. It's not pleasureable.

Oh, and today our wonderful Chinese teacher scolded/lectured us twice. I don't remember what the first one was about, but the second one was about what his form class, 1 FAITH, wrote in their suggestions to the alumnae about what changes they want in the school -- I think they wanted some teacher replaced or something? Yeah, 1 FAITH. WE ARE NOT 1 FAITH AND WE DID NOT WRITE THAT.

ETA: I asked my sister and she says that they probably wrote that they wanted HIM changed, cos they don't like him. Haha!

And what's the problem with that anyways? Some teachers are really bad at teaching. There's this teacher who teaches us and our class tries to worm out of the lesson and he agrees and says that it's "super sians" then he goes around and tells people that we are very disrespectful to him. Okay, first of all, we don't get away with it with any other teacher. Second, if he agrees that it's "super sians" and stops the lesson, then it's not right for him to go around telling other teachers that we're disrespectful.

If you bought a product that was faulty, you'd go back to change it, wouldn't you?

But whatever, here are some pictures of Lars! :D

Ergh, after watching the menswear challenge on PR, THIS SUIT IS SO GOOD. And it's not like the recent Dolce & Gabbana suit Lars wore at FW08 which was very... um, tight in the crotch area. And no, I did not notice that after much staring.

It's really sad if you can't write English properly, and even after someone points it out, you say don't care about it because you don't think that it's your job to write English well.

If you're doing something, you might as well do it properly. Why leave something half-assed? It just doesn't make sense to me.

The IPW project this year is some conference thing and our class got Italy and my group's doing technology. I'm going to research on Lamborghini and Ferrari and insist that they contribute a lot to society. What would life be if we couldn't drive at 300km/h and put our lives at risk? One of my very awesome ideas is to draw out my own garage [[with the cars inside, of course]], and point out how many cars are Italian. But because I am not allowed to drive and probably would have a difficult time getting a hold on all of the cars that I lust for, it probably wouldn't be the best representative of how ausum~ the Lamborghinis/Ferrarris are.

I read this really good idea somewhere about how we should start a habit of writing something that made us laugh down somewhere. I don't know if I would rather do it here or in a notebook, but here's today's:

Bernice: I don't even want to be in the same country as you!

My brain is nearly half dead due to the very wonderful Crisis and Conflict textbook which tells me SO much about history. It's so awesome, adlfjasdl;fadfj...

Yeah right. :/ It's so confusing and they don't name names enough so I get confused over whether it's the Bolsheviks or the Social Republicans they're talking about and the layout freaking SUCKS. It's like they go, "How did Stalin become the leader of the USSR?" and they have subpoints and suddenly there's 2 paragraphs not under any point and it's like, whut dude?

Let's add the wonderful Physics textbook on top of that, ja?

I hate being a student.

I have nothing to post about anymore. I barely even have time to get enough sleep. D: I had a major case of dark eye rings for the past few days. And I got woken up today by my mom at 9.30P.M. when she KNEW that I slept after 2A.M. that morning. Thanks, mom.

I have been watching Project Runway though, which is really awesome, but all 3 out of 4 of my favourites [[Kevin, Steven, Kit and Christian]] were out within 7 episodes. :/ Yeah I'm really good at picking 'em. *snorts* Oh, and Holly won MMAS. I liked Holly in the first few episodes but when she started opened her mouth nearer to the end... *shudders* I guess it's a good thing that she'a a model, not an actress.

I have no pictures today, because I'm not on my usual com and I can't save loads of pictures on this one.

I do have some quotes though, so enjoy!

Belinda: I'll live next to you in the Netherlands
Bernice: Then I'll move to France
Belinda: D: Why don't you want to be my neighbour?
Bernice: I don't even want to be in the same country as you

Jamie Oliver: Got some smoke coming out of the back [[of the vehicle he was driving]]... I'm gonna go faster so I can't smell it

Christian from PR: So I was like, "Okay", and I got very scared... because she didn't like anything

Christian: I'm going to die of barfness

Steve from PR: I don't know anything about football, other than that it's the one time where spandex is acceptable on TV

Sweet P: When your customer is asking for the tackiest garment you've ever seen in your life, it's kind of frightening

Christian: My diva's name is going to be Ferosha Coutura, and her move is she sprays girls in the eyes with hairspray

Random guy: Are you uncomfortable with other guys touching you?
Ronnie: Oh, not at all

Holly: Isn't my fiancee hot?
Ben: I don't know, ask Ronnie

1-1. Adieu, title. Maybe we'll be reunited next season. We probably deserved it though, we were pretty much crap in the first half. With ManUtd's draw with Middlesborough, Chelsea are now only 3 points behind them. As much as I hate ManUtd, I hate Chelsea more. If Chelsea win I might just kill something.

But whatever, let's go to Anfield and kick some Liverpoo arse!

This peekture is specialz~ 'cos it was taken by me! Whooo hooo! With my crappy camera phone which is why the picture is really ugly. [[I shall recount my story of the Canon Rebel XTi in a short while.]]

This was from one of the shows from Singapore Fashion Week. It showcased um, Guess, Calvin Klein Jeans and two other shops which I can't remember. It was really quite boring as you probably can tell from the clothes and the models were average at best. But loads of other things happened which made it interesting!

Incident number 1: There was this guy who wore this Calvin Klein Jeans cardigan that only reached up to his sternum [[Google it, all you non-Bio students!]] and he crossed his legs [[very girl-like, I have to add]] and put this elbow on his knee which allowed everyone to look down his shirt from the top. When I told Debbie this she said, "What's wrong with that?" ;)

Incident number 2: I was standing next to this Brazilian woman and we were trying to protect her friend's place at the railing, because as we all know Singaporeans love to squeeze in at any opening. V. amusing, and she was super nice. :D

The model in the brown jacket with his front to the camera is pretty good looking. I am going to give up any hope of ID-ing him because it's v. possible that no one knows him. ):

Oh, and when we were at the food court at Taka buying bread, these two models walked in. [[It was darn obvious they were models -- tall, good looking, and they had the Dior backstage crew milling around them]], and the brunette was good looking... until he took off his sunglasses. Hahaha. His blond friend was pretty gorgeous as well, but his shorts hit like mid-thigh. *shudders*

Let me tell you the sad story about the Canon Rebel XTi, which was so nearly mine. My dad has a$1000 voulcher [[sp??]] to Takashimaya, and it could also be used at Best Denki... until the 1st of April 2008. ): We went on Saturday and we were so close to getting the camera, but then they were like, "Oh, it's not longer applicable." asdfjal;kfjal;jfal;sfdjsl;djf GAH. ): I won't get a better chance to buy the Rebel!!!!!!!! >:( On the bright side maybe I will be able to convince my dad to get me that MAX & Co. bag that's really pretty. :D Or like Lanvin's Eclat d'Arpege or something.
