RVP: It was not my day, it was our day.
Chelsea 1 - 2 Arsenal
What was it about giving us our sixth loss of the season? C:
I had a good feeling about this match before kick off which diminished after Djourou's own goal. Robin's goal (which I maintain was not offside -- Asshole's, umm I mean A.Cole's, fat leg touched the ball!) brought it right back though. His second was just fantastic. I didn't expect it to go in (how many other times have we watched Robin try to slide the ball in at the far post like that and it goes wide?) so when it did I screamed for joy.
The last 14 minutes were very nerve-wrecking, although Bernice was quite confident that we'd be okay, and thankfully, she was right!
There were some negatives (Denilson still isn't quite the player we need), and positives (I still feel all warm and glowy inside whenever the camera pans to a close up of Cesc AND HIS ARMBAND) but whatever it is... WE BEAT CHELSEA!
FUCK YEAH BITCHES.

Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne is probably better than Tom Ford for 007
This week's issue of Urban is running a piece about Tom Ford designing suits for Bond in Quantum of Solace. I haven't (and am not planning to) watch the movie, so I can't comment on Tom Ford's suits but this brings back memories of Giorgio Armani for Bruce Wayne.
Isn't it the most perfect marriage? Wonderful suits on an incredibly beautiful man (in a Lamborghini!). Even after 6 months, it is still all of my fantasies rolled into one happy package.
I think that Armani for Batman is better than Tom Ford for Bond for one very simple reason: Christian Bale is hotter than Daniel Craig. You could put an extremely ugly man in an extremely well made suit and it certainly will make him more attractive, but Bale in an ugly suit trumps Craig in the most gorgeous suit ever made in the history of mankind any day.
Talking about suits, I can't wait to see a '30s Bale in Public Enemies.
I found this picture after lurking on a Bale community on Livejournal.
Which also yielded up other pictures of other gorgeous men.
(Okay most of them are not hot but I found this on LJ too.)
CAPTAIN CESC (YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I AM STILL HAPPY ABOUT IT)!!!
But the absence of Gallas' arm around Robin angers me. Gallas was the one who was pointing fingers but instead of Robin not putting his arm about Gallas, it's the other way around. What kind of a former captain is this? (To be fair though, there is a distinct lack of huddling in this picture. Which makes me sad.)
Oh, and even though we lost to Man City, I liked the boys huddling around Robin when he got injured. I don't know if they really care about Robin or it's a subtle fuck you to Gallas, but it's fucking awesome either way.

I don't even know whether to laugh or not. Arseblog is right, Arsenal players should be forced to sign a contract forbidding them from penning autobiographies when they are still playing football for Arsenal.

I have a new ambition: to start up my own medical practice.
I just came back from Gleneagles, and in the doctor's parking space there were 2 Ferraris, an Aston Martin, 2 Porsches and countless Mercedes-Benzes. And since people don't stop getting sick during a financial crisis, I'll be more crisis-proof than almost everyone else.
Since my grandfather's room has a TV, I turned it on (it was Channel News Asia) AND I SEE LITTLE PEOPLE IN RED SHIRTS RUNNING ABOUT WITH A BALL. Followed by Arsene's press conference. I didn't actually hear anything though, because I didn't want to disturb the other people in the room by turning the volume up. Therefore, I realised that the long traning pants thing makes everyone's legs look extremely weird.
(The news of Cesc being captain is EVERYWHERE. It was on Class 95 FM, Channel News Asia, the New Paper, arsenal.com blahblahblah)
And I thought trackpants were horrible.

In the morning I had breakfast at Macs, then Serene and Yi Ling proceeded to my house to do our Chem project. (After a million years.) At 11.45P.M. we all left my house, and I went to someone else's house.
We watched The Dark Knight and squealed over the hotness that is Christian Bale. Then we watched random videos -- comedians, Christian Bale, Robin van Persie (ahem), Jean-Baptiste, etc., which made me fall in love with Bale again. Then we read a book about faces, played with one of the most beautiful coats ever and made fun of desperate losers with no fashion sense.
I love them and their awesome-ness. ♥

I rest my case.

Why do medical dramas like to make doctors have affairs with dying patients?
In both the only medical dramas that I've ever watched in my life, there have been doctor/dying!patient relationships. Case in point:
(i) Wilson and shrinking-tumor-woman (the storyline played out over one episode though, which was sad)
(ii) Kyle and Eric in GH: Night Shift
To be fair though, I only watched GH: Night Shift because of Kyle/Eric. Which turned out to be very boring actually. :/ (Night Shift: Claire and Kyle (the spin-off of the spin-off; nice) is much funnier than Night Shift. It also helps that each episode is only about 3 minutes long.) I fastforwarded through everything but the Kyle/Eric moments. Eric seems to only have poor pick up lines and he makes mostly corny comments. At least Kyle produces some lulz, even if they are unintentional. See: "I sleep with men. And one day I hope to marry one, if I'm not too emotionally messed up to do so." (This in itself isn't funny, but the context and how he said it was priceless!)
Which got me thinking about Prop 8. That, Perez Hilton and everyone who is posting pictures of the various protests. I'm sad that it passed, but it's not really surprising. Gay people make up what, less than 10% of the population? Anything that is a minority can be also considered an oddity and is therefore viewed by some (in this case the majority of the American public) as unacceptable. But that doesn't make it any less terrible.
Because I try to create links between everything and Arsenal (which can sometimes be quite disturbing, such as seeing female Cesc lookalikes with large breasts, or male Cesc lookalikes who happen to be trapeze artists in tights), I came to realise that Robin and Cesc are free to marry both men and women, if they are that way inclined. Which is pretty cool. I'd want that for Beatrice and her little Tyra Banks loving heart.
Picture because it is both super precious and quite awkward at the same time.
Sometimes I wish that my happiness doesn't depend so much on Arsenal winning. My little Arsenal loving heart would have been so devastated if we had lost to Man Utd (no kidding, Bernice and I ran down 5 flights of stairs, with me tripping and cutting my butt on some stone steps to joyously celebrate our victory in front of a Man Utd fan) and it would have ruined my entire holiday.
Right now it seems as though we only just postponed our problems for a little while. Kind of like the LSD trip you go on to release some stress. And I can't just choose to turn off my love for Arsenal for a little while, until someone bitchsmacks this team into actually giving a fuck and playing some real football.
At least my whole life isn't just about football though. Just to take stock, here are some of the nice things that have made me happy recently.
(1) Nike

Today we let her play in my sister's room and she decided that she wanted to go on to the bed to sleep, so she jumped onto the bed and settled herself happily in between my sleeping sister's legs. After my sister woke up to use the laptop, she decided that she wanted in on some laptop loving and sat on the keyboard. She got tired soon after and used my bolster (the one that I used when I was just a baby) as a pillow.
She also knows how to use the bathroom as a toilet, even in unfamiliar places.
The fact that she's even alive is amazing. I just realised that her hind paws were burnt while the workers were cutting the pole to rescue her. Now, barely 2 weeks after that, she's running around and jumping onto beds and being the most amazing little thing ever. I love her.

Amazing amazing amazing amazing. I don't exactly support the killing of endangered animals for their fur or skin but wow. Raquel Zimmerman is fantastic -- the middle finger is superb!

I love love love love love love love YSL. Did I mention that I love YSL? It cannot be said enough. I love YSL. I love the yellow Tributes. So gorgeous. They're the only colour that I've seen the Tribute in that makes me want to own a pair myself. And the way she pairs it with that nailpolish and those trousers is so amazing. The sequined tights with the 5-inch boots are so fucking cool as well. I love YSL.
