Arsenal v Slavia Prague

SEVEN FREAKING NIL TO THE ARSENAL! ♥
Cesc and Theo with braces, and Alex and Bendtner scoring a goal apiece. Those who bother to read this and who know basic math will notice that that does not add up to 7 goals. Fake!shock.

Other than scoring 7 goals, this match makes me particularly happy because it'll scare Liverpool and we'll be feel good and confident about the match [[but hopefully not arrogant]]. It's going to work especially well if Liverpool lose tonight. So, here's to hoping they they do. But now that I've said that, they're probably going to come up with their own 7-nil victory as well. Ah well.

Theo looked like he really really really wanted a hat trick, and he very nearly got it, if not for that save by the Slavia goalie. He looked a lot more comfortable after his first goal, and performed admirably for a debut in the CL, and hopefully he'll try for that hattrick against Liverpool. I'm shuddering from the memories of robotman's hat-trick against us last season in the corresponding fixture. A hat trick from one of the gunners would certianly fade that memory. :)

Outstanding performances by both Cesc and Alex. I thought they both controlled the midfield really well, and both scored and created chances. Eboue also didn't look as poor as he was next to them. Here's to hoping they perform just as well, or even better, against Liverpool; I'm open to surprises! Just not the bad kind, mucho gracias.

I saw this on thefashionspot in the "The model and celeb weight thread". I don't know why, but the thread's addicting! >.< This girl was counted as 'healthy' by many people on the thread, and the person who posted her picture said that she works out a lot and thus has muscle definition.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I agree that she looks healthy for a model, but my god, look at that thigh! 0.0

I mean, compare it to this picture:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Don't you see the similarities? >.< My sister even went, "You can barely tell any difference!" It's not a good thing if your thigh is compared to a professional footballer's and comes out with a "pretty similar". Unless you're an aspiring male model, but in that case, then kudos to you.

I feel like eating the roti prata at that hawker centre at Chinatown. I have no idea why. o.0

Arsenal v Bolton

2-NIL TO THE ARSENAL! ♥
Kolo with a cracking free kick and Rosa with the other!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Yay Kolo! :D

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

We didn't play well in the first half, and Cesc was about *indicates with forefinger and thumb about a centimetre apart* this close to getting sent off. I initially thought that Bolton would be an easy game, but I was wrong. They were dirty, and there were more fouls than chances on goal in the first half.

The second half was much better than the first, and we had a few good chances, some which fell to the defenders, who showed exactly why they were defenders and not strikers. I think if Robin was on the receiving end of some of those chances, we would've scored much earlier. ):

Anyways. I'm pleased that Kolo scored from that free kick. :) I know lots of people were like, "OMG WHY DOES HE STILL TAKE THOSE FREE KICKS SINCE HE NEVER SCORES THEM???" This should shut them up... until the next one he misses.

I thought both Theo and Rosa had good impacts on the game, and Theo did well to set up Rosa for the second. As arseblog put it, "It was the sort of goal that makes you want to light candles and sacrifice things to ensure Rosicky’s hamstrings stay in good shape because those are the kind of goals on he can bring to this side."

Eduardo wasn't so hot in this game though. He needs to score against Slavia Prague. I'm not too worried about Ade, really. He might miss some really good chances, but he just keeps on trying and trying. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he scores the winner against Liverpool, even if he doesn't score against Slavia Prague.

And on the topic of strikers, look who I spotted on TV.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Okay the last two pictures are shit, but if you look closely, you can tell that Robin is standing up, and there are no crutches next to him. I'm going to pray that if he can walk on his own, it means that he should be able to run sometime soon. I'm so obviously desperate here, aren't I? ):

Anyways, my Man of the Match!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I thought that Alex played really well. He created chances, and whenever he had the ball I felt that he would get something out of it. He also tried some shots of his own, which sadly didn't go in.

I'm starting to think that my sister's a good luck charm. Because Uncle D & family were at our house during the game, she was hanging out with them for the whole first half, and we didn't score. When they left, she came up to watch the game with me, and within 5 minutes of her arrival, Kolo scored! Also, whenever she's watched games with me, we win! We haven't drawed when she's watched the game before! She's going to start watching every Arsenal match with me now! >:)

So I was on jensdefense, and my god, some of the things that they say!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee240/purple_witness/jens.jpg

Okay, let me point something out: Dortmund should have stuck with Ziegler. They were winning matches when Ziegler was playing, and lost them with Weidenfeller in goal. Just because a goalie is number eins, doesn't mean that he can't be dropped when he's playing badly. It's always the team before the player. Or, in the case of Dortmund, it should be.

And that comment about Almunia's just stupid. It is true that he did not concede a goal in that period of time. So what do you want the writers to do? "Oh, Arsenal did not concede a goal in 550 minutes, but no thanks to Almunia. I mean, he was just standing in goal, wasn't he? So why should we give him any credit?"

I think the zenith of the post is the "Or is it because it was for Germany and not for Arsenal that doesn't count?" You know, like, I would, never like, guess that, just based on the fact THAT IT WAS ON ARSENAL.COM. Sheesh, don't these people think?

I want this story to end with us getting a good international keeper that is not Lehmann. Okay, he is a fantastic goalie, but he rattles the defence way too much. The defence is more settled with Almunia, who is, sadly, not a good a goalkeeper as Lehmann. If Almunia were as good as Lehmann, I'd say go for Almunia. But he's not, so there's that.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee240/purple_witness/jens2.jpg

I don't think this girl gets what Arsene is trying to say. Why the fuck do you want to change a winning team? Especially putting in a goalie who has conceeded two goals that any decent goalie should not over one that had a run of 550 minutes without conceeding a goal. And the "I hope Arsenal go down with flying colours" thing? In her own words, "absolutely unbelieveable".

What do these people think? "You know what? Fuck the team, fuck all their fans, fuck everyone. As long as my favourite player gets to play, even though he has conceded two very stupid goals which cost the team 2 valuable points, I don't give a fuck if they lose. Because, as we all know, it's not his fault for conceeding those two goals. The defence didn't bail him out, like the do with that other goalie, whom they like better. It's also obviously the opposition's fault for even attempting to score a goal. Actually, it's everyone's fault but [[add favourite player's name here]]."

I don't understand them. Yes, everyone has their favourites, but this is taking it a whole 'nother level. My favourite's Robin, but when he's playing like shit, I won't go, "It's the midfield's fault for not providing him with good balls to score from. It's also the other team's fault for having such good defenders." It's just stupid. God.

My dad bought the "The Young Guns" DVD. On the back it says "Interviews with key players", so naturally you'd expect interviews with players like Thierry and Cesc and Gilberto, right? Maybe also Ade, Rosa, Alex and Robin. But no, they have interviews with players like Baptista. Baptista!!!

He also got me the tickets to the LP concert! Yay! :D And we're standing! Whoooo! I shall arrive there super early to queue so we can stand in the front, wheeee!

The Prince and Me 2 sucked. As in, I'm-never-watching-this-shit-again;-it's-so-bad-it-makes-rugby-worth-watching. The girl who played Paige sucked. Her Paige was so different from the one in The Prince and Me. The whole freaking cast was changed, with the exception of Luke as Prince Edvard. And the new cast sucks. Even Luke sucked. He seemed so uninterested in the whole thing, and they was no chemistry at all between him and the actress playing Paige.

The storyline's also stupid. So this obsecure law comes up that the Crown Prince must marry a Scandinavian princess, which means that Paige and Eddie can't marry each other if Eddie wants to be king. While a group of the best lawyers get to work to find a loophole in the law, the marriage plans continue. However, Princess Kristen of Norway comes and tries to wreck the to-be marriage.

Paige eventually feels that Kristen and Eddie should be together [[although Eddie has made it very clear that he loves Paige and not Kristen]], and leaves the palace. Eddie decides to go through with the marriage to Kristen in order to remain king, and Paige emoz at her dorm. One day she takes a walk around town and sees a newspaper with a picture of Eddie and Kristen, and goes, "Eddie has his diplomatic smile on!!" and persuades her friend to bring her to some law building to search for the old records of the constitutions in order for her to be able to marry Eddie.

On the day of the wedding, Eddie decides that he would rather marry Paige than be king [[which, just a few scenes before, is a whole turn around of his "It's time I started acting like a king" thing where he decides that marrying Kristen would be the best]], and rushes to her dorm to tell her his little decision.

When he finally finds her and tells her that he would rather marry her than be king, she goes, "I can't let you not be king, because I found this book that says that we can marry with you remaining king!!!" Okay, they have the best lawyers in the country working on it for 3 weeks, and they don't come up with anything, and bang!, in 14 hours, this med student finds something? Unbelieveable.

So, because of this new development, Kristen has to be kept away from the church [[which leads to the stupidest sequences of her getting out of the palace]], which Soren takes care of, while Eddie and Paige arrive at the chruch. And when she gets there, the Queen's like, "We have 10 minutes to make you into the best bride!!!", and leads her somewhere to get her changed into a wedding gown.

Okay, who the hell has wedding gowns lying around in chruches? It makes no sense! And how does anyone get ready for a wedding ceremony in 10 minutes? Okay, so many people watching the movie might not be the smartest people around [[if they were, why would they be watching it?]], but they're not idiots either! Sheesh.

So, just a word of caution to anyone interested in it: Unless you think that "Return of the Killer Tomatoes!" was a fantastic show, don't buy this movie.

There's this shop at Plaza Sing that's called Sasa that sells perfume. I never noticed it before, but me and my sisters decided that it would be a good idea to take a look/smell some of their perfumes. Vera Wang's Princess has way too much vanilla in it. It's so overpowering, and it made all of us go, "o.0 Whoa."

Chanel's perfumes are all quite nice. By that I mean that it something that I would wear. I personally like Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle the best. It's feminine and flirty, and it's not overpowering. Sadly I'm really quite broke, so we'll see.

And of course we had to go smell Acqua di Gio again. I swear it gets nicer and nicer with each sniff. And I'm just a little confused here. There's this bottle of Acqua di Gio that says "pour homme", and another one, which is green in colour, that doesn't say that. Does that mean that the green one is unisex or "pour femme"?

You know, I just realised that I think $100 for a bottle for perfume is normal. I think that's because I was raised around people who pay that much for perfume/cologne. My aunt has a whole container full of branded perfumes, my dad used to wear Karl Lagerfeld, and my neighbour [[whom I used to visit a lot]] also wore branded perfumes. Seems as though me and my sisters are going to follow in their footsteps, huh? :/

And two pictures to end this horribly long post off.

Beatrice commented, "He has a nice body" when she saw these. She even pronounced "body" as "bod-aye". Bernice said, "Wow he looks the same without makeup." Haha, my family rocks. :)

ETA: Hahahahahahaha I just realised that both the polaroids are from Ford, and there's a discrepancy in Lars' height. There's is no way that that's because he grew a bit. Even if we assume that either one of these were taken at the start of his career, the youngest he could've been was 23. You don't suddenly grow at 23. Hahahaha what losers. >:)

Birthday post

Okay, first of all, a HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! ♥ Jing gets a special mention because she smsed me at 12.05A.M.. Like I said, JING > everything. Hahaha. :D

Anyways. My aunts brought me out to lunch at Oosters and to VivoCity to get my presents. On the way to Oosters, I stopped by a magazine stand and got this:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Yes, as the more observant people will realise, this is a men's magazine. And some of the smrater ones will go, "But you're a girl!" I know that too, thank you very much. But I wanted it for...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is Lucas. He's with Ave. I've checked their website and they don't have a thing on him. He's pretty good looking though, don't you agree? :D

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
And this! I don't know who this guy is, but he's gorgeous. Also, this was taken in the Singapore Polo Club, so I'm around 80% sure that the horse he's holding is Cocoa. I miss Cocoa, she's awesomely awesome.

But anyways. Oosters has the best mussels ever. The 5 of us can finish a 1kg pot, and we still wanted to get more, but we thought that it wouldn't be such a good idea since we had pork knuckles and fish and chips coming. [[And for anyone planning to go there, as you can tell, 3 plates is roughly enough for 5 people, so unless you're really big eaters, don't order a plate a person.]]

After that we went to VivoCity. We went to Zara first, where I saw a pair of flats that I've wanted for a loong time. But I thought it would be a better idea to go look around and see if there's anything better, so we went to Topshop. There I saw a girl with the Zara F/W 07/08 book thingie, so me and my sisters rushed back to Zara to get it.

It's super pretty!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
And of course, Lars. :)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is officially the cutest picture ever!!!!

Then after that we just walked around and I realised exactly how much I wanted those flats, so I went back to Zara. But like the DC slippers, they were the last pair. I have great luck, I know. So we asked the salesperson to call around the other Zara stores to see if any of the other outlets had a new pair in my size. And the one at Ngee Ann City had it, so we rushed down there.

They are seriously the prettiest flats ever! But first, the bag. I've never bought anything from Zara before, curiously. I've been in there a lot, but I've never come out with anything. Strange, huh?
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I know this is blurry, but you can clearly see that it has toe cleavage. Which makes it awesomely sexy. What's more, they're comfy! The other pair of flats that I have are horrible to walk in. Whee.

Before we left for Ngee Ann City, I went into Tangs with Bernice. I originally wanted to show her the Hermes fragrances, but I got sidetracked looking for a bottle of orange nail polish. We went to Chanel first, and just sitting there prettily on the shelf was a bottle of Black Satin! Gah. I'm killing myself over not getting it now. ): It was just there!

But Chanel didn't have orange, so we went to the other counters looking for some. Apparently orange is too bright a colour for many designers to make? We went to basically all the big names, and no one had any. Their shades of "orange" were either too red, or sparkly. -.-

While walking around we saw the Hermes counter, and mhm, nice perfumes. Most perfumes are either really flowery or sickly sweet [[like the Estee Lauder one with Gwyneth Paltrow on it. I don't like it one bit, bleh.]], but I thought the Hermes ones were quite nice. I need to get a bottle of perfume. Hmm.

We also saw Gorgio Armani, and of course we had to go try the Acqua di Gio. While we were picking up the bottle, the salesperson came over.

SA: Are you looking for a bottle of perfume for yourself or as a gift? [[Stupid question much, it was at the cologne section.]]
Us: No, we're looking for a gift. *still with Acqua di Gio in our hands*
SA: Oh, how old is he?
Us: It's for our dad.
SA: Here, try this. *sprays Acqua di Gio onto that weird paper thing*

Mhm, Acqua di Gio is very, very nice. It's not trying to be overpoweringly manly which in turn makes it smell like poop, like most colognes, but it's [[and I quote]] "sensual" and "elegant". It's crazily attractive to me, although my sister just classifies it as "okay". Can you imagine the sexyness that would be Lars wearing Acqua di Gio?

I would buy it for my boyfriend, if I had one, that is. My dad likes it though, so Bernice and I are going to get it for him for Christmas. Yay. :D Obviously it's going to be the one with Lars on the box. Heh. Just as obviously, we're going to keep the box.

The salesperson tried to sell us a Ralph Lauren cologne though. I don't know which one it is, but according to her, it just came out. It's really smelly. My sister thinks that it smells like her dirty laundry. Haha.

Before we left though, we tried to find my orange nail polish at MAC. And behold, they have a satisfactory orange nail polish! Actually it's more than satisfactory, it's awesome! It's a bright orange, but it's kind of sparkly too, which is fantastic.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is exactly the shade of orange that you get on your nails. It's called "Fireball", if anyone's interested in getting it. It stays on pretty good too.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
And this is an extremely blurry picture of the cute bottle. The cap is made of rubber and it's super awesome. :D

It's not cheap though, it was $19. :/ But I suppose it's better than Chanel, where a bottle of nail polish is going for $32.

Anyways, some of my other presents.

Last season, I kind of regarded this as my good luck charm before Arsenal matches. If I bathe with it before the matches, then we'll win. Sadly it didn't work for the match against PSV though. Then after that I just stopped using it. But I still like the smell, so whatever.

According to Arsenal.com, Robin's going to be out for 4 to 6 weeks. Great. ): I'm going to be pessimisstic and assume that it's going to be 6 weeks. *sighs* On the very dim bright side, I get to eat ice-cream again. ):

I'm not too worried about Bolton later, since they're kind of manager-less, and I think our boys learnt a lesson on not being complacent in the game against Sunderland. I hope Eduardo scores, which hopefully will give him confidence for the big games at the end of the month. I still can't believe Robin's going to miss those games. *sighs* And I was so excited about him scoring another goal against ManUtd too. ):

My sister's going to watch the match with me later, yay. It's good to watch matches with my sister, because she knows when to shut up and let me watch it in peace. Most men whom I've watched football with are too noisy. Like, "WAH LAO EH, WHY [[add opposition team]] LIDDAT ALSO CANNOT SCORE ONE LEH?" My sister's good because she only groans when a fantastic chance isn't converted. :)

Okay I just saw this on arsenal.com. I shall be cautiously optimistic and assume that Robin is not injured. I mean, if he is, then there'd be an article with the title "INJURY TO ROBIN VAN PERSIE"... right? And it would be super dumb of them to be like, "KEY BATTLES: v.Persie against Meite" if he ain't gonna be able to play the game, wouldn't it?

ETA: About after 15 minutes I post this, I go and check arsenal.com, and look at what I find -- Knee injury could sideline van Persie for a month. It's the fucking story of his career -- a good run, then bang!, an injury. Mother of fuck. Well, at least the very least someone [[namely Bendtner]] will be happy. ): I know I'd take Robin over Bendtner any fucking day though. Gah. Also, in other news, Philippe Senderos is out for two weeks, which should be alright, because Gallas is back from injury.

Anyways, here's what I've been doing with my spare time -- finding pictures of male models.

Isn't this an awesomely productive use of my time? :D However, in my quest to try to fill up my picture folder with a million and ten pictures, I have also realised that I think very few male models are good looking. Which is kind of weird, because they're like... models.

Please, please, please let this be true. I'll give up ice-cream until the end of the year if this is true. And that's a lot seeing that I have 4 tubs of ice cream in my freezer right now: 2 Haagen-Dazs [[one coffee and one vanilla, mhm]], one apparently gourmet chocolate ice-cream, and a Dublin Mudslide.

Oh god. This only ever happens to us. ):

Germany also lost to a Rosa-less Czech Republic 3-nil. Weh mir, oh weh.

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Today has been an absolutely uninteresting day, which we spent mainly sitting on the floor. Sitting cross legged on the floor HURTS. I would not expect the teachers to know that, since, gee, I don't know, maybe because they don't sit on the floor along with us? While we sit on the cold, hard, and frankly very disgusting floor, they get to walk around and sit on chairs, lounge about the stage area, whatever.

After the checking of the exam scripts, which are very boring, to say the least, we had this little presentation on the WWII. How, uh, interesting. It would be a lot more pleasureable, and they would have had our attention if they had provided us with some chairs to sit on. I do not understand why they cannot do this. There are chairs lining the rooms, so why not allow us to sit on them? If there is a lack of space in the MPR1/Drama Room/whatever piece of shit room we're in, here's a suggestion: let's go to a larger area. The hall would be a good place to start.

I don't know about everyone else, but I would gladly take a chair over the floor with no air-conditioning over sitting on the disgusting floor with air-con.

And I haven't even gotten to the best part. So we go to the stupid Drama room for that stupid WWII talk, right? Yeah. And that woman screams at us -- for what, I can't remember; and that just goes to show you how effective their scoldings are -- and you know, since everyone hates her, they imitate her horrible fake accent [[I wonder where she cultivated it. Bad American drama serials?]] with the bad mispronunciations over the simplest words, like 'level', and she goes, "Don't think I can't hear you, I can. Are you imitating me? You don't have the privilege to."
It was done in this sneering voice, with the ugly disgusting look on her face, as well. No wonder she's still a Miss.

During the presentation, Chuan Ping was drumming her fingers on another girl's back, and that woman came over and told her to stop it. Okay, seriously, WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK? Is that fucking distracting you or something? If the both of them don't mind it, and it's not distracting to the either of them, then why are you doing something about it? I just don't fucking get it.

After the talk thing ended, Christina Tan gave us this lecture about not eating in the Drama room. I think she said, "I'm not your maid, so why do I have to pick up after you?! You do this at home, and your mother, your maid, your father, your brother, your sister, your grandmother, your grandfather picks it up for you. But this is in school..."

They don't seem to have a problem with our parents eating in the Drama room. They don't tell our parents, "PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES, LEAVE THIS ROOM IN THE STATE THAT IT WAS IN WHEN YOU CAME IN." So what are they trying to tell us here? It's okay to treat the children like fucking crap, but the adults have to be treated nicely? I don't get this fucking double standard. If they wanna be horrible to us, then they've got to do the same to the parents.

They're not fooling anyone with their nice charade. You know the utterly disgusting "Oh we're doing this and this and this for your daughter..." that they feed to the parents that just makes you wanna to puke out yesterday's breakfast? Here's a good idea for them: why not try telling our parents how you make us sit down for 5 fucking hours on end while they get the chairs and scream at us for stupid things like drumming our fingers on our friend's back?

Like Christal said, school is getting more and more retarded.

Moving on to nicer things.

Germany's playing the Czech Republic in approximately 4 hours. And that's exactly how long more I have to sleep if I want to watch the match live. Hmm. I wanted to wake up to watch it for Rosa and Lehmann, but now since that Mr. 'I-have-glass-for-legs' is injured again, I don't feel like sacrificing the little amount of time I have to sleep to watch it live.

Ah well. Thank god for Smart TV.

The Holland match is also playing at the same time as the Germany one. Aren't you amazed that they're actually playing something other than an England match? I know I am.

And here's a little something about our favourite Dutch footballer.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Sadly, I think the poster meant the female walk. I was thinking that he/she meant the male walk so I went to watch the Valentino runway again [[yes, obviously too lazy to search for another one]], and the guys walk normally [[with the exception of the guy who was holding his manbag so far away from him that it looks like he thinks the bag is some contagious disease or something, making me feel uncomfortable just by watching him walk]]. I thus have to conclude that he/she means the female walk. Tsk.

Yes, this is exactly how bored I am with the internationals. *sighs* But I've got some interesting stuff out of it, so we'll see.

I wonder if Lehmann will play against Bolton. But I think that the goalie who plays the Bolton match should play the Liverpool and ManUtd matches, unless he screws up big time. I'm still not sure about Almunia... The more I re-watch the Sunderland goals, the more I think he could've done something more about them. Granted, he's fantastic with long range shots, but I'm still unconvinced with his crosses. I feel much safer with Lehmann on them.

Plus I also get the feeling that if Lehmann does play against Bolton, he's going to be gone in January. But then we'll be stuck with Almunia as our No. 1 and Fabianski as a backup. :/ Crappy crap crap. I'm glad I'm not the one who has to make the choice.

I think I'm going to re-do my top 20 list. It's still going to be largely similar though. And wow, no Lars pictures!

GERMANY'S THROUGH TO EURO 2008! Yay! :D Sad I couldn't watch the match though, apparently Lehmann did well? Starhub REALLY rocks. \m/ They drew with Ireland 0-0. Ah well.

Thierry Henry knows Barca will face Arsenal
Aw, Thierry. ♥ Because Arseblog put it the best: "now that the initial shock of losing a top player has worn off, you remember why it is we loved him so much. He’s an intelligent guy, he loved playing for us, he gave us so many wonderful moments and that’s what should be remembered above and beyond anything else." If we do end up facing Barcelona, I hope it'll be in the final [[since I don't see how my heart would be able to take us facing Thierry twice]]. And we better win that match.

Robin: You can never underestimate an opponent in the Premier league.

Interviewer: It was a great free kick that got the goal started. Tell me a little bit about it.
Robin: Uh, well yeah, it was quite funny because normally Cesc should take it, because the last one from the left side, um, um, I think, let me think, last Wednesday, I took that one, so I told him then, "The next one is yours", but the feeling was there, and I asked him, "Can I do it?" and he said, 'Okay it's yours" and it went in quite well.

Robin says "Cesh" and "prae-tay". Wheeee. And my god, quite well. But I suppose everything compared to his goal against Charlton is pale in comparison.

Interviewer: And you kept the team fairly similar, just one change, from the one that played in the Champions League. Are you not a fan of the rotation that other managers feel that they need to use?
Arsene: Well um, I like, uh, you know a team is on a run and so I keep it stable and I change the players when I feel they are tired and there's no really a recipe [[it sounds like receipt to me but that doesn't make any sense, so I can only assume that it's recipe]] to win football games but everybody works with his own personality and everything can work, but at the moment, I just feel at the moment keep it stable.

Arsene: Well it is important because it is better than chasing someone that is ten points in front of you. [[about the importance of being at the top of the table]]

Haha I know good transcribers don't add in the uhs but I thought it would be more authentic to do it with the uhs. :) I don't I've ever heard a lady do the post-match interviews. Maybe I just don't watch enough of them. Her voice is weird and raspy, by the way. Raspy voices can be nice... just not on girls.

I got my jeans on Sunday! Yes, the ones that I was looking at with my sister at Levi's last Monday. They fit so well, almost like a second skin! Usually when I get jeans they're either too loose around the hip areas or the thigh areas. But this pair's just right! Maybe a bit tight, but I expect them to loosen up a bit. I'm happy. :)

I also got a few plain shirts from Cotton On, which are thin enough for layering. Yay. :D My sister also bought me Tool's Undertow as a birthday present, and Sarah got me John Legend's Once Again! I think I'm going to love my birthday presents this year. :) So what if I'm not going to have the element of surprise with them? I'd take presents that I'm going to love for the next month over presents I'm not going to even touch once.

Oh yeah, Uncle Desmond, Auntie Cheryl, Darryl, Denzel and Duane are coming over on Saturday to celebrate both mine and Duane's birthdays! This is sounding like a good birthday week -- presents, cakes and no studying! The only element missing from it's perfection is the results. Gah. I'm already anxious thinking about getting them back. ):

Never mind, I shall distract myself from thinking about the results by reading the two new books I bought from Page One today. Now I have like 3 new books to read. Awesome. :D I've missed reading books. It's not that I can't read during the exams, per se, it's just that I'm usually so drained at the end of the day with all the studying that the last damn thing I feel like doing is picking up yet another book to read.

I love going to Zara. I've been to two different Zara in two days now! Whee.

I see that my posts are taking on a format now: Arsenal, RL, Lars pictures. How fun.
