Yeah, not really updating so much, because school = boring, and boring = nothing to post about. But it's Milan Men's Fashion Week Fall/Winter 08/09 now, so there is something to update about after all. ;)

JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!! He reminds me of someone sometimes... I just can't place my finger on who.

Photobucket
I think he's good looking, but I don't see what's so special about him. D: Bernice is VERY jealous of him though, lolololololollll~.

There was this debate in school about whether mass media is the new religion of the people, and I was hoping that they would bring out their views on mass media being a negative influence on body image to young people and thus causing anorexia. But they didn't, which was sad. I was telling Jing about it and she told me that she thought models were morons. And I read something in the newspaper about the model person who's marrying the French president, and how everyone though models were idiots.

I don't get it, seriously. Why are they morons? They're doing something honest for a living, and it's a profession, just as teaching is a profession. I was talking about it with Bernice and we came to the conclusion that these people are jealous because modelling is relatively brainless compared to something like a chemist, and that models are tall and thin and gorgeous and they get to wear prototypes of designer clothes.

I mean, it has to be for those reasons, right? What other reasons could one have for hating models? But if you hate models for reasons other than what I've stated, please feel free to tag and tell me why you hate them. And tag if you agree with me! And uh, tag too if you love models but for another reason! Well basically what I'm saying is TAG, KK? ILY BBZ~.

Anyways, despite school being desperately boring, I guess I should talk about it after all, because I know I'll read this in some years' time and be like, "WOW! SCHOOL WAS AUSUM~*~!" [[*cough* referrence to Z for Zachariah *cough*]]. This week is totally free, no tests, nada, but we have FOUR next week [[Biology, Math, Chemistry and ting xie]], and TWO the week after [[History and E.Lit]]. WTFFFFFFF ASSHOLES WHY CAN'T YOU PUT MATH THIS WEEK? D:

But it's comforting to note that I've made it through worse weeks and I'm still here typing this, so I guess I'll make it through next week too. :) Math is pretty easy, Bio is just memorisation [[which is a piece of cake to me now, seeing as I devoured my entire Geog textbook last year]], and Chemistry is just making sense of the heating and cooling curve, because 3/4 the stuff was done last year. :D Should be okay, y/n?

However, I did get back my English diagnostic test and what the fuck, I JUST passed? D: Thank fuck they're not putting it in PPR, or I'll DIE. I tell you, DIEEEEEEEE. And I also barely passed for History source based. Great. There better be a History test and I better do well in it, or else I'm fucked. F-U-C-K-E-D.

[[I realise I just the word fuck just as often as I use the word super. Hur hur. I know people who are like, "OMG THE F WORD!", but w/e~. I wonder how I got to the "ah well fuck is just another word in the dictionary, like awesome" point. I mean, I wasn't such a cussy kid when I was younger. Okay I kid, I was probably just as cussy in primary school. I should do a whole reflection on it. Maybe one day when I'm more free.]]

I have POC on the 26th as well. As far as I've gathered, there'll be a parade, prize giving, a dinner, and some sort of sitting down and listening to shit thing? The dress code is some love love thing and we can wear jeans? Uhhh... awesome! I'm most bothered by the fact that we'll be there until "10 or 11" and that we'll be playing either Stoke or Newcastle on that day too.

My class is okay, everyone's nice, no assholes, but they're not very bonded. We're still with our last year friends and shiz, and since most of them come from Justice... But w/e~. Jing and Debbie are still amusing and funny.

Belinda: If the dress code says "light dresses", let's wear black tuxedos!
Jing and Debbie: SURE!
Belinda: Ehh by that I mean the YSL ones...
Jing: Okay, you sponsor them!

But it's a genius idea, y/n? I was reading this piece on cocktail dresses v tuxedos and there was a very good point made about tuxedos and how you had to have character to pull off one. :D And my sister agrees that a YSL tuxedo would be AWESOME to wear to prom.

Photobucket

Photobucket

But to be perfectly honest, I'm not a big fan of the look. I just don't like adhereing to dress codes. :X I'd much rather wear this:
Photobucket
Minus the head scarf thing, of course.

Or this:
Photobucket

This is more my kind of look though:
Photobucket

Photobucket
And this is just adorable. :D

Guess I don't have enough "character" to be a tux wearer then.

[[Arsenal v Sp*rs]] Arsenal v Birmingham

[[Arsenal v Sp*rs: 1-1. Theo scored in the 80th minute. We didn't play well.]]

1-1.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

You know what's so fucking annoying? We played better than we did against some other games where we won, AND WE FUCKING DREW. FUCK. If we're going to win playing badly, I'll take playing badly and winning, to be honest. This is honestly so fucking annoying. We had something like 9 shots on goal and they had 2. AND WE BOTH SCORED ONE GOAL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLAY WELL FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! >:(

There are a lot of knee-jerk reactions from people going in Arsenal-mania, and they all sound fucking ridiculous, so I'm not going to say anything about what we should/should not have done. Though I HAVE to say this: bringing Diaby on was useless. At least Sagna didn't hold on to the ball for too long and he could actually cross a ball.

AND THE FUCKING COMMENTATORS. WHY THE FUCK DO THEY ALWAYS WANT US TO LOSE? "Birmingham don't need to play well, they only need that one moment of brillance from one player." FUCK YOU.

I'm fucking annoyed right now/. It's not really helping that everyone on Arsenal-mania is being retarded and trying to imply that we're not going to win just because we drew this game but at the same time trying not to think it themselves as well. "It's games like these that we need to win if we want to be champions." *scowls*

I was about to post about shopping the whole day today, but I don't feel like it anymore. I will say that I did get my orange ck heels though, which is a good thing, y/n? Not that it makes the draw any better though.

Random Arsenal, because we are so awesome.

Van Persie back for Carling Cup clash against Sp*rs
THAT IS THE BEST NEWS I'VE HAD IN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm going to shit myself laughing if he has a ten minute cameo at the end and scores a goal. :D Though, of course, now that I've said that, he probably won't. *sigh* I just hope he gets through it without injuring himself.

Havard Nordtveit! I can't wait to see him play. :D

Burnley v Arsenal

2-0! Nicky and Eduardo! :D

Photobucket

I have nothing much to say about the match because I couldn't watch it live as it was a school night [[yeah I sleep at 10. *puffs out chest* I'm a good kid. :D Or at least, I try to sleep at 10.]], and due to the insane amounts of homework the past two days, I still haven't gotten the chance to watch the match. *sigh* I really do hate school.

But I'm really glad that we're through! :) We're playing either Stoke City or Newcastle in the next round. I'm plesantly surprised. I was convinced that we were going to get either ManUtd or Chelsea. But first, Sp*rs next! I was reading the match thread on Arsenal-mania [[yeah I am so officially a stalker now *sigh*]], and loads of people think that Sp*rs are overdue for a win over us. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I refuse to lose to Sp*rs! >:( We better win, or else...
Anyways, I think Nicky's hair looks like a durian. A blond durian, but w/e~. I was very amused by this when I turned on the TV and saw his hair. I now call him my Danish Durian. :DD

I went for dinner at some place near my house today to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. The food was pretty good, but there wasn't much banter. We obviously need Aunt numero uno and family to liven up the atmosphere.

I remember the last time we went for lunch my cousin Nicholas asked my grandma for tips on how to get the bruise on the finger better [[it was all black and disgusting and he couldn't bend it D:]], and my grandma gave him directions on how to use an egg and she said take out the egg yolk and then he was like, "Uh, how do you take the egg yolk out of the egg and let it still keep it's shape?" o.o It doesn't sound very funny typed out but it was, I swear! It went on for a few minutes and everyone chimed in with their genius ideas of how to take the egg yolk out. I really do love my family. :D

And talking about awesome family members, I was on mikeshinoda.com looking at the pictures and there was this picture of Chester's legs [[obvious because you could see the Hybrid Theory Soldier tattoo]], and this is what me and my sister said:

Belinda: Oh yeah sure, I take pictures of my friends' legs too.
Bernice: Maybe it's his leg then he ask people to take leh?

Hahahahahaha my sister is an adorable retard sometimes. ♥

And my other sister was playing with the remote control and somehow she got it stuck ON HER LIP! Hahahahahahahahahahahahah *dies laughing* My family is too awesome sometimes. :D We literally almost died laughing. :D

And speaking of awesome family members, we had this survey in school about our family and school lives, and they asked us stuff like "how much do you parents earn a month?" Okay, first off, why in the world would I know how much my parents earn? Second, if I knew, why the hell would I tell you anyways? Maybe it's the way I was brought up thinking that how much you earn is a private matter, but I find that question too invasive.

I'll put up with the "what time does you father go/come home from work?" and the "do you like your family?" [[No, I don't like them. I LOVE them. They're some of the most awesome people I know. I mean, how many fathers do you know that will say "Wah lao this guy so gay I can't stand him" about Zac Efron? At this point I should probably make it clear that it's not funny to me because my dad called Zac Efron gay, but because he dislikes Zac Efron too. Good taste obviously runs in families.]] questions, but the pay thing really pissed me off. They also asked for our allowance. Uh. Same thing. WHY should I tell you? There is absolutely no need for you to know that.

They also have like "Do you think the allowance you get is enough for your personal expenses?" questions. Well duh, no. $25 a week won't get me Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, even if I don't eat. But if you think about it, it's actually a good idea. If I don't eat to save up for that $3000 dress, I'll look BETTER in the dress. Hmm...

But anyways. School is still sucky, and I MISS CHRISTAL AND ALL THE OTHER IP PEOPLE SO MUCH. D: Gahhh I saw Christal at the CCA fair today, but we didn't have enough time to catch up. We so need to meet up fer realz~*~ one day, kk bb? :) The people around me right now are SUPER boring. Like majorly major boring. Sometimes I hate being in the smarty classes. No one's ever spontaneously fun or like "I like cheese" out of the blue or dirty minded and they don't gossip about guys. *sigh*

Why aren't there people who are gooners and like fashion/male models around me in real life? ): Except for my sister, of course. But that's thanks to my geniusity. Is that even a word? Ah well.

I can't wait for the Burnley v Arsenal match. Burnley is a lower league opponent, but sometimes those are the nicest to watch. They always give their all and it's so much more heart warming and interesting to watch, than say, a Liverpool match. We're sending out a practically second string team, but we should still be able to cope with what they can throw at us [[think back to Blackburn!]], and I don't see why we can't win it.

It is so weird to see Beckham in an Arsenal training kit. Sirusly~. x.x And Cesc being such a fanboy! Haha. I saw one picture being captitioned "Fabregas jumps for joy at Arsenal's newest arrival". Tsk even they pick up on it. ;)

Anyways, here are some random quotes and pictures.

We do what we must, and call it by the best names.

"'Well,' said Pooh, 'what I like best--,' and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called."

The hard part when writing a narrative of someone's life is choosing from the abundance of details and microevents, all of them equally significant, or equally insignificant. If one elects to only select the important events: the births, the deaths, the loves, the humiliations, the uprisings, the ends and the beginnings, one denies the real substance of life: the ephemera, the nethermoments, much too small to be recorded (the train pulling into the station where there is nobody; a spider sliding down an invisible rope and landing on the floor just in time to be stepped on; a pigeon looking straight into your eyes; a tender hiccup of the person in front of you in line for bread; an unintelligible word muttered by a one-night stand, sleeping naked and nameless next to you). But you cannot simply list all the moments when the world tickles your senses only to seep away between your fingers and eyelashes, leaving you alone to tell the story of your life to an audience interested only in the fireworks of universal experiences, the roller coaster rides of sympathy and judgment.

There is a luxury in self-reproach. When we blame ourselves we feel that no one else has a right to blame us. It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.

I was happy but happy is an adult word. You don't have to ask a child about happy, you see it. They are or they are not. Adults talk about being happy because largely they are not. Talking about it is the same as trying to catch the wind. Much easier to let it blow all over you. This is where I disagree with the philosophers. They talk about passionate things but there is no passion in them. Never talk happiness with a philosopher.

"Love," Estelle said, "real love, is when you realize that you're in a race to see which of you is going to die first. And the worst thing in the world is when you lose."

I could write a book about this young man who was the gentlest and the holiest man I ever met, who had never offended anybody and never taken anything from anybody, but who had made the cardinal mistake of coming to America to spread peace and love.

Basil, my dear boy, puts everything that is charming in him into his work. The consequence is that he has nothing left for life but his prejudices, his principles, and his common sense. The only artists I have ever known who are personally delightful are bad artists. Good artists exist simply in what they make, and consequently are perfectly uninteresting in what they are. A great poet, a really great poet, is the most unpoetical of all creatures. But inferior poets are absolutely fascinating. The worse the rhymes are, the most picturesque they look. The mere fact of having published a book of second-rate sonnets makes a man quite irresistible. He lives the poetry that he cannot write. The others write the poetry that they dare not realize.

I'm beginning to realise that the numbers on the hit counter actually mean something and that 99% of the people who visit my blog actually know me in real life, and will go "WAH she always posts pictures of male models leh" when the topic of my blog is brought up in real life.

Arsenal v West Ham, and the first day back at school

TWO-NIL TO THE ARSENAL! :D

With Ade and Eduardo scoring! I didn't watch the match *curses school*, but from what I read it was a comfortable win, and I'm glad. :) Such a nice thing to wake up to in the morning, don't you think?

Yesterday was our first day back at school. I can honestly say that I don't feel prepared for it at all. Not for the tests, the projects, the homework... Nothing. I feel as if I need another month. Which is fair, to be honest, since I spent around one month training daily for minicomp.

The people in my class are nice, and they don't seem like crazy study freakos like those in 2L [[sorry, but I still love you guys!]], but they're not overly talkative. Which is kind of sad, because you can't bond if no one talks.

I hate our timetable this year. Last year we had Chinese Lit, Home Ec, Enrichment, Malay, Art and Music, which basically meant that we could rest and not do anything, but we don't have anything of that sort this year. D: Instead we have 5 periods of Chem, Bio and Physics each, and a lot of Chinese. Which sucks.

But whatever. Our timetable was something like that in P6, and I made it through in one piece, didn't I?

ANYWAYS. I GOT MY NEW PHONE!!!!!! The Nokia N81 in blue! :D

So far it's been PERFECT, and I'm totally happy with it. :) My only worry is that it's a slide phone, and we all know slides are a bit stupid. I wanted a flip phone [[mostly because the people on Prison Break all used flip phones and it looked so cool]], but the V8 Luxury was "too opulent". D: I WILL get a gold phone once I grow up. >:)

This post looks empty without pictures. I must find some pictures to prettify my blog with.
